For the past 40 years the Foulkeways Board of Directors have endeavored to create the best community possible for those who live and work here, and for those who will live and work here in the future.  The result has been a quality of life that has made Foulkeways the community of choice for adults 65 and older,  seeking financial security and an independent, vital life style.

Our Board is made up of volunteers.  No director is paid for the time he or she devotes to the responsibilities of the position and although some of our Board members are retired or semi-retired, over half are professionals with full-time responsibilities.  We have doctors, lawyers, business persons, medical professionals and teachers on our Board.

In addition to the time required to attend the nine to ten board meetings each year, all Board Members also serve on one or more of our twelve standing committees plus various ad hoc committees.  On average, every Board member serves on at least two of the following standing committees:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Educational Assistance

  • Corporate Compliance
  • Fund Development
  • Nominating
  • Pension/Personnel
