Foulkeways Skilled Care Residence, Gwynedd House, has received a Citation from the American Institute of Architects Design for Aging Center and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging for its advanced design concepts and solutions sensitive to the needs of an aging population.  Contemporary Long Term Care Magazine’s “Order of Excellence” Partnerships has awarded Gwynedd House’s dining services the 2001 Best Design/Redesign honor for its country kitchen design.  This award recognizes the family-style dining feature and overall de-institutionalization of the dining experience.

C. Raymond Davis and Sons, general contractor for Gwynedd House, won first place in the Associated Builders and Contractors competition for the Best Institutional Project in the Nation. The award is based on quality of construction, project difficulty, and safety performance. C. Raymond Davis and Sons was also awarded the Best Institutional Project over $5 million given by the Southeastern PA Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.  R.L. Reppert, Inc. won the Award of Excellence for interior finishes within Gwynedd House.

A Best Practices Award for Gwynedd House’s approach to Holistic Skilled Care was received from the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) in conjunction with the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC), who accredits communities of excellence throughout the U.S.  The award recognizes Foulkeways’ innovative programs that focus on an individual’s quality of life needs, while shifting away from the institutional model to a social home care model.
