| In the summer of 2001, Foulkeways introduced a new concept in care and design to the community. Gwynedd House, Foulkeways award-winning skilled nursing care residence, offers a comforting, home-like environment for community members requiring 24-hour, skilled nursing care or rehabilitation due to illness or increasing needs for care.
Utilizing an innovative concept in skilled health care, at Gwynedd House resident care is delivered in a unique residential setting where rooms are arranged into small neighborhoods. Each neighborhood, consisting of ten rooms, has its own nursing care base, living area, kitchen and dining room. This award-winning design fosters the feel of apartment home living and promotes the benefits of daily interpersonal interactions among residents living in Gwynedd House.
