Given the profound shift in people’s expectations, changes to our campus have been continuous.  Remaining an attractive option to subsequent generations has required Foulkeways to continually evolve.  In 2006 the Community Center Committee, an ad hoc committee empowered by the Board of Directors to investigate and recommend changes to the Community Center, began to meet monthly. The committee presented the outcome of its work to the Board and the community after sixteen months of meetings.

Their recommendations included expansion of the auditorium, expansion of the lounge area overlooking the meadow, expansion and renovation of the main dining room, expansion of the arts and crafts room, the creation of a free standing greenhouse and most importantly the relocation and expansion of the Coffee Shop.  Foulkeways will also strive to be as responsibly "green" as possible.  There is growing excitement about these improvements and construction which began in late 2007.

The process of joint planning between the Board, staff and the residents of Foulkeways has a long history of success.  The interaction of varied viewpoints and interests has created well thought out and innovative designs and the process of community feedback further refines this course of action.
