How do you describe an intangible that permeates the Foulkeways campus and prompts visitors to tell us over and over, “This place just feels right”? At Foulkeways we call it ‘Community Spirit.’
Residents often describe our ‘Spirit’ as compatibility or a sense of caring and compassion. Some point out the active role the Foulkeways Residents Association takes in supporting the needs of its members, while others describe it as the peace of mind that comes from knowing that our personal care, memory support and skilled nursing care are provided in a unique, resident-centered, home-like atmosphere. Many define our ‘Community Spirit’ as the freedom that comes from knowing that Foulkeways has a proven record of financial responsibility and accountability, and even more mention our dedication to volunteerism, both within our community and with the 139 outside, not-for-profit agencies that benefit from our residents’ time and experience.
Difficult to define, perhaps the best way to experience the ‘Foulkeways Spirit’ is to visit our campus and see for yourself. We’re betting it will “just feel right”!
