Donna Davis, RN

Foulkeways Health Care on Main

Donna was born in Park Falls, Wisconsin and was number 9 of 10 children. She decided at a young age she wanted to be a nurse for two reasons. According to Donna, her reasons for becoming a nurse were two-fold. First, her sister, Debbie, had spent 2 ½ years of her life in and out of the hospital being treated for neuroblastoma.

She lost that fight when she was 16, but her nurses made a huge impression on her. Second, her sister, Pat, was a nurse and she wanted to be just like her.

Donna took a roundabout way to become a nurse. She graduated from high school in 1980, worked as a nurse’s aide, then was a laborer at Flambeau Paper Corporation for a couple of years until joining the Air Force in 1983. After Basic Training and tech school, she was sent to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. She married in 1987 and had their first son in 1993. She graduated from nursing school in 1994 and had their second son in 1996.

She was a stay at home mom for five years before going back to work at various nursing jobs before finding Foulkeways. During her time at Foulkeways, she has worked as a team leader, care coordinator, hospice nurse, and residential nurse.
