Legacy Giving

The Foulkeways we know and love today is the legacy of those who gave generously in their estate plans. Deferred gifts can have tax benefits and can be a worry-free way to have a big impact. Foulkeways offers Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA) administered by Friends Fiduciary Corporation that provide income for life. Foulkeways can also be designated as a beneficiary to a specific percentage, amount, or remainder of an estate or as the full or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan. Our Director of Development would be happy to give you information about the current CGA rates and other deferred giving options.

Memorial/Honor Gifts

Gifts to Foulkeways are a special way to remember or honor a loved one. Memorial/Honor gifts include benches with name plaques, native tree plantings, or donations to one of Foulkeways’ designated funds. Please contact our Director of Development for more information.

Gifts of Assets

Many people choose to give from their assets to maximize tax savings and to have an impact on Foulkeways during their lifetimes. Such gifts include IRA qualified charitable distributions (QCD) which can reduce the taxable income created by required minimum distributions (RMD), grants from donor-advised funds or charitable giving funds held at financial management institutions, and gifts of stock, which can be tax-deductible while avoiding capital gains tax. Gifts to Designated Funds

Foulkeways has several funds designated for specific purposes, including:

Monthly Support Fund
Monthly fee assistance for residents whose years have exceeded their resources.

Stewardship Fund
Tuition assistance and stipends for employees furthering their educations.

Foulkeways at Gwynedd has been designated as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization by the Internal Revenue Service, making your donation to Foulkeways tax deductible as permitted by law. Donors with questions about tax deductibility are urged to consult with a professional financial advisor. Registration does not imply endorsement.
