Yom Kippur 2026, the Day of Atonement, begins at sundown on Sunday, September 20, and ends at nightfall on Monday, September 21. It is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. Many people observe the day through prayer, reflection, and fasting.
Yom Kippur: A Time for Reflection
Yom Kippur concludes the Days of Awe, a ten-day period that begins with Rosh Hashanah. During this time, people reflect on the past year and seek renewal and forgiveness.
